Seven of us make the trip of a lifetime worth while. 20 days (8th to 27th September 2017) for me and hubby while Aina's and Zam's family were for two weeks (from 12 to 27th September 2017).

Itinerary of 20 days is divided into 3 distinct section, by way of travel mode and the nature of its journey.

Section 1 : Just The Two of Us
Upon reaching Casablanca on 9th September 2017, the two of us started off the adventure by taking a train to Marrakech.

Section 2 : Private Tour I
From Marrakech we proceed by a 9 seater vehicle  to Atlas Mountain, Aitt Benhaddou, Roses Valley,  Ouarzazate, Skoura and stay for a night in Boumalne Dades. Then to Dades Valley, Todra Gorge, Rissani, Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes by camel trekking. After spending a night in the tent we got on a 4WD to explore the Berber and Khamlia culture and tradition then we rest for a night in a kasbah, and the next day we drove off to Fez (this trip of  a 4 days 3 nights private tour from Marrakech to Fez was done through the services of  Best Travel Morocco at paid per pax).

Section 3 : Private Tour II
By hiring a 15 seater minibus for 6 days (EU150 per day), we made a day trip to Meknes, Moulay Idris and Volubilis. The next day we moved on to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountain. From Chefchaouen we went to Rabat and Casablanca using the western highway.

Western Europe

The trip itinerary from 13th April (Thursday) to 3rd May 2017 (Wednesday) for 21 days and 19 nights was;

Flight to London by Malaysia Airlines and stay at Umi's Place for 2 nights.
Flight to Malaga Andalucia by EasyJet and stay at Pueblo Evita for 7 nights.
Flight to Cologne Germany by RyanAir and stay at Gemuender Ferien Park Salzberg for 7 nights.
Take a cross border train from Kall Station Germany to Leiden Station Holland and stay at Ibis Hotel Leiden for 2 nights.
Take a cross border train from Leiden Centraal to Bruxelles Gare Midi Belgium and stay at Ibis Hotel St Guilles for a night.
Take Eurostar from Bruxelles Midi to St Pancras London then take London Tube to Heathrow Terminal 4 on Picadilly Line.
Flight to Kuala Lumpur by Malaysia Airlines.

We started off by boarding Malaysia Airlines MH0004 and departed for London Heathrow at 9.50 am.  It was a 13 hrs long haul flights. Arriving the same day at 4.35 pm local time. Still plenty of daylights.

Going home to Kuala Lumpur on MH0001 at 9.35 pm, 2nd of May 2017 from London Heathrow.

We travelled to London because the fare is cheaper compared to if we flew to Malaga from Kuala Lumpur. A one way journey would cost around RM3k per person. The MAS flight during its promotion was only RM2,348.00 return per person.

Going to London often is always a delight hence I made the itinerary more interesting by spending a few days in London to cover the places we have yet to go.

It was a great adventure for both of us and I felt so ringan kepala as a retiree on the move.

Selamat menyambut tahun masihi 2017. Tahun ini akan mencipta satu sejarah, iaitu saya akan menamatkan perkhidmatan dengan Kerajaan Malaysia setelah berkhidmat selama lebih dari 32 tahun di Politeknik Kuantan (1984 - 1991), Politeknik Port Dickson (1991 - 1993), Cuti Belajar melanjutkan pelajaran di peringkat MSc di University Dundee Scotland (1993 - 1994), Politeknik Ungku Omar (1994 -1995), SMT Shah Alam (1995 - 1997), Politeknik Shah Alam (1997 - 2000), Jabatan Pendidikan Teknikal (2000 - 2003), Kolej Komuniti Selayang (2004 - 2009), Politeknik Sabak Bernam (2009 - 2011), Politeknik Tanjung Malim (2011) dan Politeknik Shah Alam (2011 hingga 5.2.2017)

Secara rasminya saya mengundur diri pada 6.2.2017.
