Umi's Place (13.4.17)

For a second time we book a room in Umi's Place, not a good idea though. 60BP for 2 person, it is better to book a hotel, the room is so small there's hardly area for prayer. Kena tutup pintu. But at least we help Umi to earn an income. She is a lady of 70++  and has no other income to supplement whatever she received from her children. We stayed here for 2 nights (120BP). The location is convenient (kami dah hafal which station to stop) and easy access to buses and underground. Edgeware Road is centre to most major attraction in London.

Day 2 in London (14.4.17)

 We have a day to spend and decided to explore  Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Yesterday we topped up the Oyster Card for 40BP in Heathrow.. so masih loaded and we took a tube from Edgeware Station to Kew Gardens Station. The entrance fee was 33BP for 2 plus donation to the Garden.

In the afternoon, we strolled along Regents Park and Oxford Street reminiscing the days of yonder. Arini makan Nasi Briyani Pakistan yang Umi recommend. A block away from her house. One portion is enough for 2. Memang lazat sekali at 7BP. Worth it and will go for it again.

Day 3 (15.4.17)

Eventhough our Flight to Malaga was at 12.40 pm, we checkout from Umi's Place after breakfast. From Church Street we go to Victoria Station to catch Gatwick Express underground to Gatwick Airport North Terminal.

This is our first time using Gatwick Airport and Easyjet (macam KLIA2 dan Airasia). The security was horrendous with security dogs sniffing the passing luggages.

For budget airlines, always read the fine prints. Rupanya I booked 0 checked baggage and 1 pc per passenger as hand baggage. (British use baggage instead of luggage).. but we are sooo used to carrying 2 each. She asked us to make it into one.. lo and behold, the computer bag cannot be pushed in. We end up paying as checked in baggage and paid 45BP for it. LOL.. ambik kau! very expensive mistake.

It was comfortable and we reached Malaga as expected.
