LAND OF THE RISING SUN

Trip to Japan for 11 days and 10 nights, 10th to 20th April 2014 was the cherry blossom season.  From Kansai Osaka Airport we took a normal train to Shin Osaka then a bullet train Sanyo Shinkansen line, Nozomi to Hiroshima Train Station. The ride was so smooth and of course like a bullet. Running at speeds of up to 320 km/h, the shinkansen is known for punctuality (most trains depart on time to the second), comfort (relatively silent cars with spacious, always forward facing seats), safety (no fatal accidents in its history) and efficiency. There are so many trains in Japan, and also passengers. 

The itinerary was;

1. Arriving Kansai Airport 10th April 2014, take train to Shin Osaka then Shinkansen to Hiroshima - 1N at Hotel Gravia.

2. Check out Gravia, take Shinkansen to Kyoto Station, then train to Ishiyama - 2N at Reia Hotel Otsu Ishiyama. Trip to Sagano by Romantic Train.

3. Check out Reia, take train to Kyoto Station then Tango Discovery Train to Kumihama Station - 6N, pick up by APA Resort.

4. Check out APA Resort, take taxi to Kumihama Station, then train to Shin Osaka. Walk to Nest Hotel - 1N.

5. Check out Nest Hotel take train to Kansai Airport.

 

We used different route to Kumihama and back.
